Fragrance Customization Notice:

This product is intentionally unscented, offering flexibility for use as-is or with the addition of essential oils or fragrance oils at a concentration of 0.25% to 3%. If you choose to customize, please do so at your own discretion. We strongly recommend testing your chosen fragrance in a small batch before applying it to the full amount of product purchased.

Please note that modifying a cosmetic base can impact its stability, performance, and preservation. Because formulation customization involves many variables, we cannot guarantee results or accept responsibility for issues resulting from customer alterations.

Filling Directions

Before filling, always clean and sanitize all utensils and surfaces to ensure product safety and integrity. Wash tools thoroughly with hot, soapy water, rinse well, and either allow them to air dry or dry with a clean, lint-free towel. Immediately before use, spray all utensils with 70% isopropyl alcohol and wipe them down with lint-free paper or towels.

Be sure to also sanitize your work area, and follow appropriate hygiene protocols. We strongly recommend establishing written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that cover cleaning, sanitizing, and personal protective practices such as wearing gloves, hairnets, lab coats, or aprons when handling cosmetic products.

Filling Methods Without a Machine:

Lip Balm Filling: For lip balm tubes, you can either pour directly into each tube by hand or use a lip balm tray and a spatula for more efficient, uniform filling.

Always work in small batches when testing a new filling method, and ensure all tools are appropriate for your product’s temperature and texture.

Melting Methods

This product is sold in bulk and requires careful handling during the melting and pouring process. The Lip Balm Base can scorch if overheated, so it’s important to use gentle, controlled heat. You may melt the base using a microwave dedicated to manufacturing, a double boiler, or a water bath.

Microwave Method: Scoop the desired amount into a heat-safe container and heat in short bursts of 10–30 seconds, stirring between each interval until fully melted. Once melted, stir in your chosen essential or fragrance oils, then pour into deodorant tubes or containers.

Double Boiler/Water Bath Method: Melt the base slowly, taking care to prevent water or steam from coming into contact with the product during heating and pouring, as contamination may affect quality and stability.

Always stir thoroughly to ensure even distribution of flavor and a smooth final texture.

Directions for Use: For lip balm in a tube, gently glide the product across your lips for even coverage. When using a balm in a pot, wash your hands thoroughly first, then use a clean fingertip to apply a smooth, even layer to your lips.
