A Jojoba Cream was literally the very first product I ever formulated. You simply cannot go wrong with a Jojoba based product as everyone loves Jojoba Oil, but I wanted to modernize my idea with a changeup in the companion oil. I chose Babassu Oil instead of the Coconut Oil I had formulated with as a companion oil in 1998.
– Kayla (Chief Formulator at Ology Essentials Labs)
Babassu Oil rates 1-2 on the comedogenic, whereas Coconut Oil rates a 4 on a scale of 0-5. Babassu Oil also is high in Lauric, Myristic and Oleic Acid and is good for most skin types, whereas Coconut Oil is good for dry skin types. Babassu Oil is an Amazonian superfruit with fast absorption, a lightweight skin feel, sustainable and environmentally friendly, and is virtually scent free. Babassu Oil does not clog your pores, but does form an undetectable layer that acts as a barrier to protect the skin.
