Essential Facial Cleanser

Scenting  Directions:

This product is available pre-scented and unscented. The unscented product was designed to allow between 0.5-1% essential oil or fragrance oils. 

Scenting and Color Directions:

This product was designed to allow between 0.5-2% essential oil or flavor oils and/or face or lip safe mica powder, oil based powder, or pigment powder. Depending on the colors used and desired effect this product will allow up to 15% mica powder.

Filling Directions:

Always clean and sanitize your utensils with hot soapy water and rinse well. You can wipe excess water off or allow it to fully air dry. When you are ready to use any utensils for filling make sure to, spray them with 70% alcohol and wipe off with lint-free paper rolls. Don’t forget to clean and sanitize your working area as well. We recommend having written SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) that include cleaning, sanitizing, as well as the use of hairnets, gloves, and lab coats or aprons when handling products. 

There are a few methods that are effective to fill your product without the use of a filling machine. 

• Use a heat proof measuring pitcher with a good spout to hand pour into containers. 
• Use a Confectionary Stainless Steel Confectionery Funnel similar to this one to dispense melt and pour into prepared containers.
• For lip balm tubes you can either hand pour into each tube individually or use a lip balm tray with a spatula similar to this one. 

Melt & Pour Directions:

Stovetop method: Heat in a stainless steel pot on a medium-low to medium setting until melted at approximately 130-144 degrees F. 

Microwave method: Heat in a pyrex or similar container in 30 second bursts until melted at approximately 130-144 degrees F. 

Once melted add flavor or essential oil and/or lip safe mica powder, oil based powder, or pigment powder, stir, and pour into lip balm tubes, jars, or pots. 

Product Directions:

Wet your face with lukewarm water and use your fingertips to apply cleanser. Gently rub on your face without scrubbing hard, rinse with lukewarm water, and pat dry with a soft towel.
